안녕하세요~ 대구사이버대학교 언어치료학과 이옥분 학과장입니다.
1997년도 '응용언어과학(applied speech science)'을 가르쳐주셨던 저희들의 스승님께서 2020년 6월 본 대학에 교수님의 수년간의 열정과 노력이 담긴 프로그램을 기증하시어, 국내 후학들이 이 프로그램을 공부할 수 있도록 가교역할을 맡게 되었습니다. 많은 분들이 다운받으시어 언어재활분야에서 의미있게 활용하시길 기대합니다~

모국에 계신 후학들에게 적은 학문적 유산을 남길수 있게 된것을 매우 고맙고 기쁘게 생각합니다. 큰그림으로 언어과학을 공부하실때 많은 도움을 줄수 있기를 진심으로 기대합니다.

I was the first Korean national (U.S. citizen since 1979) to receive Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and who subsequently attempted to establish the foundation & curriculum for the profession in South Korea in the early to mid 70's without much success. Korean academic community was not ready for this new profession as my dream was too ahead of my time. The profession was finally established by other Korean nationals in 1988 when the country's first communication sciences/disorders program was established in Korea's first College of Rehabilitation Sciences at Taegu University. Taegu University subsequently invited me as a visiting professor during my 1-semester sabbatical leave (Semester II, 96-97). I completed 4-Year Education for Ministry (A Certificate Program of Theological Education by Extension), The University of South School of Theology Extension Center for future international teaching contributions in the area of my expertise (Speech Science, English Phonetics, & General Phonetics). Subsequently I taught Speech Science courses at Kangnam Severance Hospital (ENT) for Speech-Language Pathologists & ENT residents, English Phonetics at Mongolia International University, & General Phonetics for Missionary Training (Bible Translation Missionaries) at Handong Global University (Pohang) & Global Partners Missionary Training Program (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
